Live wedding portraits are a unique way to have the love and emotions of your big day captured before your very eyes! Hiring a live wedding painter is somewhere in-between hiring a photographer and an entertainer - and the end result is a timeless heirloom that you will treasure forever!
What sets Meg apart from other Live Wedding Painters?
Meg not only has 15 years of professional painting experience under her belt, but plenty of experience as a wedding coordinator, as well. This unique combination of skills is practically made for being a live wedding painter! She understands first hand how overwhelming wedding planning can be. So much time, love, and detail is poured into this very important day and you want to make sure every ounce of effort is appreciated. Meg feels very lucky to say that her "job" is capturing not only your love, but all of the effort that has gone into this day. She will be sure to give all of the details and feelings your big day produces the spotlight it deserves!
THE PROCESS
On the day of your wedding, Meg will show up 2-3 hours before your ceremony starts to ensure plenty of set-up time. She will begin painting prior to your ceremony and carry-on until the end of the night!
Meg happily welcomes any questions, conversation, and observers - She is a people person at heart and would love the opportunity to chat with your favorite people!
After your wedding is over, Meg will take the painting home to finish in her studio to ensure every detail is properly captured. This can take 2-6 months depending on the volume of weddings she is booked for.
Due to the high quality pigment that she uses, after completion of the painting it takes 6 weeks for the paint and varnish seal to cure fully before it can be shipped for you to enjoy in your home.

Why the difference in price if they are both live paintings?
When capturing your wedding day live, there are a lot more factors that the artist has to consider and translate onto the canvas. The composition, colors, and lighting must be decided in the moment. It requires the artist to act not just simply as an artist, but as a photographer, editor, and entertainer all-in-one! Versus using a pre-determined photograph already has the composition and colors decided, as well as allowing the artist to start the sketch at home. Because of these elements, the pricing has been adjusted accordingly.
As a solo artist, Meg's availability is first come, first served. Once a date is booked, she is unable to accommodate another event that day.
